Ski runs abounded, I had never been on a ski lift, some of the lifts we saw were closed for maintenance.
Refugio Pralongia - another strudel opportunity.
The meadows are full of flowers that thrive on limestone, including orchids, buttercups, vetch, bugle, violets, rock roses, daisies, clematis and speedwell.
On all the routes we came across boards displaying the area.
Julian, Wendy and I took a steep, narrow path down through the woods to the village of Corvara where we reunited with the others.
We walked from Corvara through the forest with its exercise trail and then along a Sunday afternoon footpath to the next village of Colfosco where we were to spend 2 nights in the Hotel Garni Mirabell.
The family running the hotel were very welcoming and helpful and served breakfasts but not dinners. We ate across the road at the Restaurant L'Tabladel with magnificent views of the mountains beyond our hotel.
